Tips and tricks on how to use library resources and services

Finding books and e-books

Search for books and e-books on the Library Catalogue.

Look out for print books with 'Exeter Health Library (NHS)' in the Location field:

E-books will have 'NHS e-resources' in the Location field and records will include a link to click on to access the full-text, you will be prompted to log in with an NHS OpenAthens login.

If you can't find the book you are looking for, use the Request a book/chapter online form, or e-mail us: rde-tr.library@nhs.net.

Borrowing regulations

Registered members of the library can borrow up to 8 books at a time.

The standard loan period is 4 weeks but you can renew them as often as you like provided that nobody else has requested them.

Books can be borrowed from the library, or delivered to your workplace.

There is a book returns box in the foyer of Oasis restaurant in the main hospital building at the RD&E, for when you're busy and can't pop over to see us.
